SMART Dimension Correction

If you find incorrect dimensions in posted documents, you can correct the value of these dimensions. This will help maintain the accuracy of reports and analysis.

To change dimensions in posted documents, the SMART Dimension Correction functionality is used. This functionality makes it possible to change dimensions for all tables where records were created for the document.

Required Settings

During the first use, it is necessary to add tables in which you need to correct the dimensions.

1. Click to open Search and enter SMART Dimension Correction, follow the link.
2. On the SMART Dimension Correction page, click Setup.
3. On the Dimension Correction Setup page, click Related > Setup to add the default settings.
4. Tables will be added where dimensions can be corrected.

If necessary, tables can be added manually to Dimension Correction Setup. To do it, specify the Table No. and fill in the Document No. Field, Posting Date Field, Dimension Set ID Field, Global Dim.1 Field No., Global Dim.2 Field No..

Dimension correction in posted documents

To correct dimensions in posted documents, do the following:

1. Click to open Search and enter SMART Dimension Correction, follow the link.
2. On the SMART Dimension Correction page, fill in the Options tab:

Field	Description
Document No. Filter	Specify the number of the document in which dimensions must be changed.
Posting Date Filter	Specify the posting date of the document in which dimensions must be changed.
Target Dimension Code	Specify the code of the dimension the value of which must be corrected.
New Dimension Value Code	Specify the new dimension value. If you leave this field blank, the old dimension value will be corrected to the blank dimension value.

3. Click Find.
4. Lines will be added with the corresponding records for the document in related tables.
5. To fill in the New Dimension Value Code field in the lines with the values specified in the options tab, click Change/Add. If necessary, the dimension value in the New Dimension Value Code field can be changed manually on each separate line.
6. Click Apply Changes to save the dimension corrections.

Viewing the dimension correction history

To view the dimension correction history, on the SMART Dimension Correction page, click Related > Correction Log.
The Dimension Correction Log Entry page displays all dimension correction operations. The Change Type field will indicate which dimension change was made.

Dimension correction cancellation

If necessary, the applied dimension correction can be cancelled. To do it:

1. On the Dimension Correction Log Entry page, select the lines for which you want to cancel the dimension correction.
2. Click Undo.
3. As a result, the previous change of dimensions will be canceled, and for the selected lines of dimension correction, a sign will be put in the Canceled field.
