SMART EDI

The SMART EDI extension helps companies manage electronic document flow with their customers and vendors directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It supports document exchange through providers such as Vchasno and EDIN.

Types of Documents

1. Structured Document: A document in the XML/JSON format, which is transmitted in a pre-configured and standardized data structure. Examples of such documents include:

   • Order (ORDER)
   • Order Confirmation (ORDRSP)
   • Despatch Advice (DESADV)
   • Quotation (QUOTES)
   • Invoice (INVOICE)
   • Delivery Note DELNOTE (Vchasno) or COMDOC_006 (EDIN)

2. Unstructured Document: A document with arbitrary data structure, such as PDF, PNG, JPG, DOCX, XLSX, and other formats. Examples of such documents include:

   • Delivery Note
   • Invoice
   • Service Provision Act
   • Universal Document CONDRA (EDIN)
