SMART News

The SMART News page displays up-to-date information about the latest release updates, hotfixes, and new features in Business Central.

News Download Settings

To automatically download SMART News, configure the Job Queue Entry:

1. Choose the icon, enter SMART News Setup, and then choose the related link.

2. On the page, enable the Receive news from SMART option. When it is enabled, the Job Queue Entry Card opens, where you can set up the news download schedule. Fill in these fields:

   Job Timeout - Specifies the maximum time that the job queue entry is allowed to run. Starting Time - Specifies the earliest time of day that the recurring job queue entry should run. In the Recurrence section, specify the days on which the job queue entry should run. Set the status to Ready.

3. To stop automatic SMART News downloads, enable the Unsubscribe from SMART News option. The related Job Queue Entry is then moved to the On Hold status, and news is no longer retrieved.

Viewing News

To view news:

1. Choose the icon, enter SMART News, and then choose the related link.
2. On the news list page, select the entry that you want to view.
