SMART news

The SMART news page displays up-to-date information on the latest release updates, hotfixes, and new features in Business Central.

News Download Settings

To automatically download SMART News, you need to configure the Job Queue Entry:

1. Choose the icon, enter SMART News Setup, and then choose the related link.

2. On the page, enable the Receive news from SMART option. When it is enabled, the Job Queue Entry Card will open, where you need to set up the news download schedule. To do this, fill in the following fields:

   Job Timeout - Specifies the maximum time that the job queue entry is allowed to run. Starting Time - Specifies the earliest time of the day that the recurring job queue entry is to be run. The Recurrence section specifies on which days the job Queue Entry will be run. Set the status to Ready.

3. To stop automatic SMART news downloads, enable the Unsubscribe from SMART news flag. After that, the corresponding Job Queue Entry will be put into the On Hold status and news retrieval will not be performed.

Viewing News

To view the news guide:

1. Choose the icon, enter SMART News, and then choose the related link.
2. On the news list page, click on the desired entry to view it.
