Customs categories
Each product that is moved across the border is assigned a 10-digit code according to the Ukrainian classification of goods for foreign economic activity (Customs Category Code). This is done in order to unambiguously identify the product, determine the rate of duty and control measures to be applied. In addition, the assignment of the code simplifies the maintenance of customs statistics. The product code affects the application of tariff and non-tariff measures to this product.
All products and services that are the result of economic activity in Ukraine are grouped in sections according to the State Classification of Products and Services (SCPS, or DKPP). DKPP code is intended for use by central and local state executive bodies, financial bodies, statistical bodies and all business entities in Ukraine.
To create customs categories
- Choose the
icon, enter Customs Categories, and then choose the related link. - Select the Edit list action on the Customs Categories page.
- Fill out the fields listed in the table below:

| Type | Select the type of state classifier according to which the register of items or services is drawn up. For items and fixed assets – customs category code; for items with service type – DKPP Code. |

To assign customs categories
In order to assign the Customs Category code or DKPP code for items, fixed assets or items with the service type, select the value in the Custom Category Code / DKPP field on related pages.
The value of the Custom Category Code will be filled in automatically in the Customs Category Code field of the purchase, sale and service documents if the Customs Category Code is intended for items or fixed assets.
If the DKPP Code is intended for an item with a service type, this value will be displayed in the Service Code DKPP field in the purchase, sale and service documents.
