Filling in Lease Terms of the Leasing pay type

Fill in the following fields of the Lease terms of the Leasing Pay type sequentially:

Object typeAutomatically filled with the type of object from which the lease terms are created.
Type termsSelect "Leasing Payment".
Start date and End date TermsAutomatically filled based on the dates of the lease terms. Can be changed by the user in cases where the terms actually change during the period.
Number Of Leasing UnitsFor a land plot, filled in from the "Land plot share" field from the "Leasing object" card. For other types of rentals, filled in manually by the user.
Unit of Measure CodeFill in manually. Determines the unit of measurement for the quantity entered in the previous field.
Rental Price Per UnitEnter manually. Indicates the price per unit of rental according to the Unit of measurement code specified in the previous item.
Currency Code For Calc.Fill in manually. Determines the currency in which payments will be made under the contract. Currency substitution during the contract period is not provided. If the contract is in the local currency, leave this field blank.
Currency rateAutomatically filled with the exchange rate for this currency on the start date of the lease terms.
Amount in calc. currencyAutomatically filled by multiplying "Number Of Leasing Units" by "Rental price per unit".
Amount (LCY)Automatically filled by multiplying "Amount in calc. currency" by "Currency rate".
First InstallmentFill in if provided for in the contract. Indicates the first payment in the calculation currency.
Date of first InstallmentEnter the date of the first payment.
Final InstallmentFill in if provided for in the contract. Indicates the final payment in the calculation currency.
Date of final InstallmentEnter the date of the final payment.
Price for periodFill in manually. Indicates the period to which the rental cost specified in the current line of terms applies.
Non-leasing Component AmountEnter manually. Indicates the value of the non-leasing component, i.e. the amount that is included in the leasing payment but should not be included in the calculation of obligations and rights of use.
ActualSelect "Yes".
CommentOptional field.

Payment Indexation

To change the lease amount for all or multiple lease objects simultaneously, use the Rent Change report.

  1. Select the Search button, enter Leasing Setup (IFRS 16), and then choose the related link.
  2. Select Actions > Rent Change.
  3. On the request page, fill in the following fields.

Leasing Object No. (filter)Specify one or more lease numbers for which the lease terms must be changed.
Vendor No. (filter)Specify the vendor number for the lease objects whose lease terms must be changed.
New Start DateSpecify the date from which the new lease terms will take effect.
Expiry Date of Previous TermsThis field is filled in automatically with the date preceding the effective date of the new lease terms.
Type Rent ChangeSelect the lease amount change type: Amount or Percentage.
ValueSpecify the new lease amount if Type Rent Change = Amount. If Type Rent Change = Percentage, specify the percentage by which the current lease amount must be changed.

After you have filled in the required fields, select Process.

During processing, the current lease term of type Leasing Pay is closed using the date specified in the Expiry Date of Previous Terms field, and a new lease term is created with the effective date specified in the New Start Date field.

The new lease term copies the data from the previous lease term, including its end date, the period to which the lease amount applies, and other parameters.

The Rental Price Per Unit field is updated as follows:

  • with the value specified in the Value field if Type Rent Change = Amount;
  • with the value calculated by applying the specified percentage to the previous lease amount if Type Rent Change = Percentage.

Note

Before changing the lease amount, you must close the lease settlement periods for the lease objects whose lease amount is being changed.
