G/L Source Turnover

For the detailed analysis of the G/L account by source type, a G/L Source Turnover report is created. This report contains the values at the beginning and end of the period and the turnover on debit and credit for the period for each account, sub-account according to the generation source. The system supports the following source types, which are assigned to respective operations in the general ledger:

  • Customer
  • Vendor
  • Bank Account
  • Fixed Asset
  • Employee
  • IC Partner
  • Deferral
  • Item.

Functional features of the report are as follows:

  • Generation based on the general ledger entries.
  • Sources of amounts can be entries of customers, vendors, bank accounts and fixed assets.
  • Setting the levels of detail of the report lines, namely: currency, contract, order, entry.
  • Values of report amounts can be calculated in the original and additional reporting currencies.
  • Generation of expanded start and end account balance.
  • Report export to excel.

To run this report:

  1. Select the Search icon, enter G/L Source Turnover, follow the link.
  2. On the G/L Source Turnover page, set the parameters listed in the table below for generating and displaying information in the report:
FilterDescription
View BySelect a period for which amounts will be displayed (day, week, month, quarter, year, accounting period).
Date FilterEnter a date that will be used to filter the amounts in the window.
G/L Account filterSelect a G/L account, for which amounts will be displayed. You can select several G/L accounts at the same time. The filter is required.
Source Type FilterSelect a source type by which the turnover will be generated. An option without specifying the type of source is also available for selection.
Source No. FilterEnter a source number for turnover generation (specific customer, vendor, bank account or fixed asset). Selection is available exclusively for sources with a defined type; in this case, it is possible to select multiple sources simultaneously.
Currency Code FilterEnter a currency code for which the turnover will be generated. Available only when the Show amounts in original currency option is enabled.
Global Dimension 1 CodeSelect a value of global dimension 1 by which amounts will be displayed.
Global Dimension 2 CodeSelect a value of global dimension 2 by which amounts will be displayed.
Agreement No. FilterSelect a the agreement number that will be used to filter the amounts in the window.
Show AgreementsEnable this option to display information in terms of agreements. Available only for customers and vendors.
Show OrderEnable this option to display information in terms of orders. Available only for customers and vendors.
Show DocumentSelect this option to display information by document. Available only for customers and vendors.
Show EntriesEnable this option to display information in terms of entries.
Show CorrectionEnable this option to display the corrective documents and entries.
Show Amounts in ACYEnable this option to display the amounts in additional reporting currency.
Show Amounts in OCYEnable this option to display the amounts in original currency. To generate totals in the original currency, set the values in the Currency Code Filter field. Not available for fixed assets.
Show External No.Enable this option to display the external document numbers for posted entries.
Expand AccountEnable this option to display the expanded general ledger account balance on the page. Available only to customers and vendors.
If Show Order is enabled in the report options, then both debit and credit amounts will be displayed in the expanded balance fields. If the display of data in terms of orders is disabled, then the fields for the expanded balance will display the result of operations, namely either the debit amount or the credit amount.
  1. Click Update Values.

The lines of G/L Source Turnover display the movement of the Source Type over the period in terms of amount. In case of the report generation without specifying the source type, data is displayed for entries not associated with any of the available source types. This allows the G/L Source Turnover to be used for analyzing accounts where the source was not specified during accounting.

The lines of G/L Source Turnover include the following information:

Starting BalanceSpecifies the balance at the beginning of the period.
Starting Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the beginning of the period.
Starting Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the beginning of the period.
Debit AmountSpecifies the debit turnover for the selected period.
Credit AmountSpecifies the credit turnover for the selected period.
Ending BalanceSpecifies the account balance at the end of the period.
Ending Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the end of the period.
Ending Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the end of the period.
ACY Starting BalanceSpecifies the account balance at the beginning of the period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Starting Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the beginning of the period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Starting Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the beginning of the period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Debit AmountSpecifies the debit turnover for the selected period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Credit AmountSpecifies the credit turnover for the selected period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Ending BalanceSpecifies the account balance at the end of the period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Ending Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the end of the period in additional reporting currency.
ACY Ending Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the end of the period in additional reporting currency.
OCY Starting BalanceSpecifies the account balance at the beginning of the period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Starting Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the beginning of the period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Starting Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the beginning of the period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Debit AmountSpecifies the debit turnover for the selected period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Credit AmountSpecifies the credit turnover for the selected period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Ending BalanceSpecifies the account balance at the end of the period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Ending Balance DebitSpecifies the detailed debit balance at the end of the period in the original transaction currency.
OCY Ending Balance CreditSpecifies the detailed credit balance at the end of the period in the original transaction currency.

To view detailed information on each of the amounts generated in the report lines, click on the amount, and the General Ledger Entries window with the respective filters will open.

On the Results FastTab, the results of the generated turnover are displayed and reflect the following information:

  • Starting Balance Total
  • Starting Balance Debit Total
  • Starting Balance Credit Total
  • Net Debit Total
  • Net Credit Total
  • Ending Balance Debit Total
  • Ending Balance Credit Total
  • Ending Balance Total.
