Notification Setup scenario

If you need to receive notifications in the role center, you can set up notifications in the system.
Field | Description |
---|---|
User ID | Select the user who will receive notifications. |
Notification Type | Determines the type of events to which the notification relates: Birthdays, Internship, Probation period, Combination, Return after absence, End of maternity benefits, Expiration of labor contract, Child turns 18, External person. |
Notification Method | Defines the notification method code that is used to create user notifications: Email, Note. |
Notification Date Calculation Formula | Specify the date - the formula by which notifications will be displayed. Valid values: D, DW, W, M, Q, Y. Before the time date, you can add the prefix “C”, which means the current unit of time according to the date. |
Notification Text | Arbitrary description of the notification text. You can set data from the system: %1 Employee/Person No., %2 Date – depends on the type of notification, %3 Description – depends on the type of notification, %4 Full name of the Employee/Person. |
Notification Subject | Arbitrary text displayed in the notification. |
Document code | The field is used only for the “Return after Absence” notification type to define the absence group. |

Next, set up the work flow.
Path: Job Queue Entries
On the General tab, select the runnable Codeunit type of object by indicating its number: 70950612 (21094005) Payroll Notif. Dispatcher.
On the Recurrence tab, select the recurrence days and the start time.
Set the Ready status.
If it is necessary to change the job queue entry, first select Put on Hold, and then set the Ready status after correction.
When the event occurs, a notification will appear in the user’s role center.
