"Vacation Reservation" Scenario

In a configured system, a payroll element of the type Vacation Reserve is used to calculate the vacation reserve. To calculate one or several types of leave, you can create multiple calculation elements or filter them by Time Activity Groups, which can be configured in the Time Tracking module.
Specifics of Adding to Payroll Document and Calculation:
In the calculation type, the Vacation Reserve element is included in the type that is always used in calculations – Always.
Therefore, this element will always be calculated in the employee’s payroll document. This amount is displayed for informational purposes only and is not included in the totals for Total Accrued and Total Deducted.
The calculation of average salary periods is performed by the function PERIODS AE RESERVE. The selection of the leave type to be used for reserve calculation is defined by the Time Activity Group, which selects activity codes accordingly. The vacation day balance is calculated using the function VACATION BALANCE RESERVE, which is also filtered by the Time Activity Group. In the payroll document, the calculated reserve amount will be recorded in the Salary Amount field. After the payroll document is posted, ledger entries for the reserve accrual will be created.
