"Average Earnings Calculation Setup" scenario

Calculation of average earnings (AE) for different types of absence is performed by the built-in function CALCULATION OF AVERAGE EARNINGS. The results of the function's work are reflected in the corresponding lines of the payroll document in the context of AE entries processed for the calculation of AE, as well as intermediate details of the calculation in the period (AE Period). In Microsoft Dynamics, it is possible to influence how the rules for calculating AE are processed in each case of paying by AE. 2 groups of settings are used for this.

AE Calculation Setup

Path: AE Calculation Setup

FieldDescription
TypeAE calculation rules group. Available values: Calculation. In a line of such type, general calculation rules are set. Bonus setup. In a line of such type, rules for accounting for bonuses for average earnings are set.
AE Calc TypeAE calculation type. Available values: Vacation. Setting for calculating the average earnings for a vacation. Sick leave. Setting for calculating the average earnings for sick leave. Child Care 1, Child Care 2. Not used in the current version of the system. Other. Setting for calculating average earnings for business trips and periods of retaining average earnings. Maternity leave. Setting for calculating the average earnings for sick leave for pregnancy.
Bonus typeThe field is filled in only for the Bonus Setup type and determines the rule for each type of bonus: Month, Quarter, Semi-Annual, Annual.
Period codeCode of the period the current calculation rule is valid from.
Setup CodeAdditional calcilation setup identifier.
Bonus Calc MethodThe field is filled in only for the Bonus setup type and depends on the Bonus type value. Depending on the values, the algorithm for accounting for bonuses is determined in calculations: Full. Proportional. Past Year Proportional.
Calc Type DaysSelect: Work days/Calendar Days/Whole year
Average q-ty of days per monthCalculated automatically.
AE Calc MonthsThe quantity of months of the previous period included in the AE calculation periods.
Use FSI LimitsThe amount for calculating the AE within each month will be limited by the value of the Payroll Limits (Payroll Limits scenario), the SSC Limit typee. Must be set to set up sick leave.
Exclude Current PeriodUsed for other absences. If the base is 0 for an AE period, then the AE periods are recalculated in the first month of the current AE periods.
Consider Month of Start DateUsed for other absences. If the date of hiring the employee is in the month of the beginning of the absence or in the previous month, then, with the setting enabled, the month of hiring is included in the AE period.
Period AE by First LineIf there are several lines in the absence order, then with the setting enabled, the second and subsequent lines will not calculate the AE periods, the values from the first line will be used.
Calc. by Salary Function CodeDetermines the function code for payroll. For cases where the average should be calculated by salary, the function for this setting is used.
FSI Limit Element FilterThe setting can be filled in only for lines with enabled 'Use FSI Limits' setting and is used for calculating sick leaves for residents of Diia.City. In the field, it is necessary to specify payroll elements with the 'SSC' type that must be analyzed when determining the FSI limit in the average salary calculation. When a value is specified in this field, when calculating the FSI limit, the value of FSI Limit (maximum base for calculation) is compared with the value of the 104 'Cor. Amount' field by each SSC element determined in the 'AE Calc Setup'. To calculate FSI limit for average salary, another amount is used. Currently, when calculating SSC for the residents of Diia.City, in the 104 'Cor. Amount' field the value is limited by the amount of minimum salary. THerefore, this setting makes it possible to calculate average salary for a sick leave based on the legally stipulated SSC calculation base for the residents of Diia.City, which is the minimum salary.

Payroll Element Inclusion

Path: Payroll Element Inclusion

The second group of settings determines the inclusion of each element with the "Accrual" or "Bonus" type in the AE calculation of various types. There are types of AE calculation for vacation, sick leave, business trips and all other cases of absence, which must be paid by the AE.

FieldDescription
TypeAE calculation type. Vacation. Is used when calculating the average for vacation. Sick Leave. Is used when calculating the average for sick leave. Business trip. Is used when calculating the average for business trips. Other. Is used when calculating the average for other types of absence.
Period codeCode of the period starting from which the element is included in the AE calculation. It is possible if an element must be included only starting from the new year.
Element codeCode of the element included in calculating AE of the specified type.
Base by Period CodeIf the setting is enabled, the element will be searched by Period Code. If not, by Wage Period Code.
Base by Bonus PeriodIf the setting is enabled, the element will be searched by Bonus Period. If not, by Wage Period Code.
