"User Task Management" Scenario
In Business Central, you can create tasks to remind you of work that needs to be done. You can create tasks for yourself, but you can also assign tasks to others or have tasks assigned to you by someone else in your organization.
To set up tasks, you need to use the HRP Task Setup page.

Table Code | The table code. In the current version, tasks can be set for the following tables: 70950591 Labor Contract Line, 70950606 Employment Order Header for Staff List, 70950613 Posted Absence Header, 70950639 Posted Payroll Document. |
Table Name | The field is filled automatically based on the selected table code. |
Document Type | The document type available for selection for the Labor Contract Line table (Hiring, Transfer, Combination, Dismissal), Posted Absence Header table (Leave, Sick Leave, Business Trip, Other Absence). |

Subdivision Name | The field is filled automatically based on the selected subdivision code. |
Task Subject | Task subject. |
Task Description | Task description. |
Priority | Task priority: Low, Medium, High. |
Payment Term Calculation | Enter the payment term formula, for example, 1D, 1M. |
Assigned User | User to whom the task is assigned. |
Task User Group | Group of users to whom the task is assigned. |
After setting up the appropriate tasks, after the payroll document, absence order, staff list order are posted and the labor contract lines are approved (if the corresponding table and document type are selected in the settings), the assigned user's role center will display the respective tasks in the User Tasks area.
The Pending User Tasks page displayes a list of created tasks.

User Task Group | Group, if the task was assigned to a user group. The group can be created on the User Task Groups page by adding a line for each user in the User task group members area. |
Due Date | The required time for completing the task. |
% Completed | The progress of the task. After using the Mark as complete function, the value is automatically set to 100%. |
Priority | Task priority: Low, Medium, High. |
Completed By | The user who completed the task. The field is filled automatically after using the Mark as completed function. |
Completed On | Task completion date. The field is filled automatically after using the Mark as completed function. |
Link the task with | The type of window in which the task opens. |
Page | Table code. |
Name of the resource | The name of the resource assigned to the task. |
The following functions can be used on the page:
- Go to task item - opening a page or report related to the created task.
- Mark as completed - after completing the task, you must use this function. The following fields will be filled automatically: % Completed - 100%, Completed By - the code of the user who completed the task will be filled. The task will be deleted from the Pending User Tasks page.
- Repetition - a task repetition template can be specified (for example, 20D indicates that the task should be repeated every 20 days), as well as the date of the beginning of the repetition.
On the Pending User Tasks page, you can manage the following tasks: Create, Change, View, Delete.
